You are invited to attend the 47th Annual Carrell-Krusen Neuromuscular Symposium to be held at the T. Boone Pickens Auditorium on the UT Southwestern Medical Center Campus in Dallas, Texas on Thursday-Friday, February 20-21, 2025 This symposium is a clinical education experience for members of multidisciplinary teams who care for patients with rare, complex neuromuscular diseases including hereditary muscular dystrophies motor neuron diseases, neuroimmunologic neuropathies and rare genetic disorders of muscle and nerve. Case presentations will include physical diagnosis and discussion of management and new therapies by participating experts. All discussions involve active participation by attendees. The educational format for this activity includes didactic lectures with an in depth Q&A, panel discussions, and PowerPoint Presentations. The content of this program is identified and developed through a Call for Abstracts process. The 2025 keynote speaker will present a formal lecture on congenital myopathies, a group of ultra-rare, single gene disorders that he has studied for 3 decades.
